Swallow Cottage offered everything we needed as adventure travelers - a beautiful location, fully enclosed garden for our dogs, and close proximity to the Lake District and local attractions. Kate, the host, was welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home. the cottage itself was clean, cozy, and had all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. We couldn't ask for more!

Lovely location, peaceful with occasional horse sounds. Well equipped property and spacious garden. Good local footpaths for dog walks. Welcoming owners, interesting nearby places to visit, and good dining options available.

We had a wonderful stay at this perfect little cottage. It was just the right size for me and my dog, and had everything we needed. the garden was secure, allowing my dog, Betty, to run free. the cottage itself was clean, cosy, and comfortable, and the underfloor heating was a nice touch. the bedroom was spacious with plenty of storage space. the welcome pack provided great ideas for things to do in the area. Despite being on a working farm, the cottage was quiet and tranquil, and we enjoyed sitting outside and listening to the birds. We would definitely stay here again!

We also appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, although we would have liked to see more utensils and saucepans. a hairdryer would have been a nice addition, especially during the winter months. Despite these minor suggestions, we couldn't find any other faults with our stay. We had a perfect weekend and would highly recommend Swallow Cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful retreat. we can't wait to come back, and we're already planning our next visit.
